Pale copper. Musk stick, strawberry coulis, orange peel and an allusion of whipped cream make up an attractive perfume, with subtle ground cinnamon in the background adding to the pretty, softly sweet aesthetic. The palate has lovely red and orange fruit at good intensity — mashed strawberry, tangerine, maraschino cherry — with delicate baking spices in support. Amply firm tannins wrap it up through a finish of good length. It takes a moment to warm up but offers interest, intensity and complexity at an accessible price point.
