Punch Lance’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

A ripe, concentrated Yarra Valley Cabernet that looks very much in the regional zone in both tannin structure and overall elegance of expression. Scents of summer black berry fruits, cassis, jalapeño, wild herbs and leaf. It’s still very much a youngster, tightly formed. Some swishes in the glass opens the wine right up, releasing some plushness and middle palate warmth and texture. The palate delivers all that is promised by the aromas with extra layers of acacia and briar wrapped in dense, fine Cabernet tannins. It feels a little too early as yet to approach and would appreciate more time in bottle.
