Puppet Master Syrah 2023

West Aussie Shiraz, the aim here is to favour elegance over force. From a range of vineyards across the State, this is cracking value. The colour is dark maroon, made in a slightly savoury style with aromas of dried herbs, bay leaves, soy, coffee grinds, chocolate and mulberries evident, with notes of sour cherries emerging on the finish. Supple in structure with very good length through to silky tannins, there is good energy here and the flavour never relents, though that elegance is always evident. Enjoy this over the next eight years.
