Reschke Bull Trader Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Share

The fruit here is sourced from Coonawarra, from the estate vineyard, 35 years of age, which is on terra rossa soil. A ten day fermentation in 20-tonne fermenters, with maturation in French oak barrels and hogsheads for between 18 and 24 months. The colour here is that of bruised plum. The nose offers perfumes of chocolate, licorice, a hint of cigar ash (nice, though), black fruits and spices. There are fine, if slightly grippy tannins and the wine is of medium length. A smoky note lingers under the surface and the palate sees more chocolate emerging. Good power here to enjoy for the next six to eight years.
