Riposte Wines The Foil Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Share

A Sauvignon that brings both citrus fruits and grassy herbal notes together, nicely balanced, and the drinker is the winner. There is no shouter here, no single varietal flavour dominating as you so often see with Sauvignon Blanc and, because of that, it’s a wine that will undoubtedly attract a wide audience. Don’t get me wrong, it remains unmistakably Sauvignon with a gentle herbal edge to the citrus flavours, and passionfruit pulp plays a pretty significant role in tantalising the tastebuds on the palate, but it remains balanced, juicy and a bit of an all-round charmer. Acidity is fresh and vital and the strong intent here is to enjoy this wine in its youth.
