Silkwood Estate The Walcott Chardonnay 2019

Another side to Australian Chardonnay from Pemberton, with Margaret River generosity of fruit plus some cooler climate elegance to match. Mid straw in colour, the wine shows bright peach, nectarine and citrus fruits well integrated with spicy oak plus nougat barrel aged complexity. There is also a freshness and energy to the wine making it engaging and delicious without being too serious. It will drink well for a while but best now with fruit at its exuberant best.
