Silver Lining Sauvignon Blanc 2021

One day, someone will write a thesis about why the Adelaide Hills is regarded as Australia’s number one spot for Sauvignon Blanc. In the meantime, we just intrinsically know – well, after 30 years – that it is.

Take Silver Lining 2021 Sauvignon Blanc; all the regional trademarks are in place: texture, vibrancy of acidity, an utterly joyous energy. It rises from the glass with vigour led by tropicals – nectarine, white peach, passionfruit – with back up from an army of citrus fruits. Once fruit meets zippy acidity on the tongue, it explodes. Is this the grape speaking or the region? Or, maybe, both? Whatever it is, it works a treat. Super enjoyable with or without food.
