Smithbrook Nebbiolo 2022

Pemberton, single vineyard. Dried florals and blueberries invite on the nose, before this delivers some fantastic structure on the palate with chalky tea leaf tannins. Slightly tart, red satsuma plum leans into tasty amaro-type bitter orange and herbal notes. A Nebbiolo, but one that offers freshness and form alongside drink-now deliciousness. Not the most complex or the most intense, but lots to love. Ripe and flavoursome. That burnt orange really comes through and builds with each mouthful. Take a good swig – this isn’t a sipper, but a full mouth, good grip guzzler.
