The cooler climate white pepper on the nose strikes immediately. It overlays the deep plummy fruit aromas with their slightly dried herb and sage-like influences. The palate is quite firm and structured, displaying dense fruit, firm tannin and a balanced component of oak. It is precisely balanced and defined through to an extended finish. Plenty of cellaring time.
