Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc 2020

Every now and then a wine comes along that captivates from the first swirl. I barely needed to raise the glass to my nose to be entranced by juicy yellow peaches and papaya, honeysuckle and beeswax.

A sip offers up the texture of honey, collected by native bees mining the nectar of wildflowers, but without the sweetness – all slippery and smooth and begging for more. When I look for it, the characteristic zippy Chenin Blanc acidity is there but it takes a supporting role, ensuring the wine finishes fresh and bright after all the seduction.

I’m calling it, this is one of the best value wines around. Slurp it with spicy Korean rice cakes.
