Welland Old Hands Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Share

This is a wine of two halves that opens up with poised aromas that move between blackberry and blackcurrant lifted by just a touch of leafy lift and subtle earthy Barossan tones. It’s cabernet alright but the varietal signature is quite reserved. It then takes on a more Barossan personality, as it delivers fleshy mulberry and chocolate flavours on a solid tannin base with prominent coffee grain scented oak to finish. It’s a chunky Barossan that will settle down nicely with some time in the cellar.
