Another example of how this variety can manifest itself in so many different regions, producing wines of subtle differences, but always with impressive quality. In this case, the wine’s been worked with wild yeasts and some older barrel influence with regular lees stirring. So you’re getting Chenin Blanc with the natural vibrant acidity offset and balanced with some supple palate richness coming from the time on lees. On the nose, there’s a spicy, lemony, zesty character, and then the palate reveals more citrusy, slightly nutty characters but with a subtle saline lift on the finish.
