A most consistent great value Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. It was a year that produced quite seductive and delicious highly perfumed fruit, which is illustrated perfectly in this wine. The plummy, slightly licoricey dark chocolate aromas open proceedings, and then the palate delivers with a smooth, effortless, and most stylish expression of the variety. This is not a big, brutish Barossa Shiraz. This is one with a bit of finesse and more in the fruit-driven low tannin zone. Excellent wine. Thoroughly enjoyable.
