ZZ Estate Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Here we have a Coonawarra Cabernet that is at the peak of its powers, built for a good time, not a long time. Bright mid ruby in colour, there is a solid mix of red and blackcurrant fruits that are fleshy and ripe with reasonable concentration. It is followed by an attractive savouriness on the palate thanks to the rise of aged earthy, cedar and truffle complexity, which is still backed up by dark fruits and soft tannins delivering plenty of interest in a supple and easy drinking package. Coonawarra fans will not be disappointed.
