Angullong Fossil Hill Barbera 2018

Share

Italian grape varieties are a bit of a specialty at Angullong. In Northern Italy Barbera is the classic table wine with savoury understated fruit and juicy acidity making for very food-friendly styles – particularly for meaty and tomato-based dishes.

This vintage of Angullong Barbera is no different. Mid to deep colour, it shows beautifully bright and fresh classic Barbera aromatics of just-ripe cherry with a touch of tar and dried herbs. It’s dry, juicy and fleshy with that juicy fruit following on the palate plus supple tannins with good fruit concentration and length making for a very satisfying finish.
