Vegetal tones provide the opening — radish, fresh-cut beets, tomato leaf, green bean and white pepper. Fruit sits in the background initially, though plum, Bing cherry and mashed strawberry push through with time. The palate is where it really shines — silky, lifted and charming, with cranberry, plum, white spice, tomato stem and cinnamon intermingling. The acidity is fresh and energetic, the tannins febrile and firm-but-fine. It carries to good length, with spice and vegetal tones permeating the finish. Well crafted and sure to flesh out attractively with more time in bottle.
