Made specifically to pair with food and going on the front label graphic, the winemaker has a big, juicy steak in mind. This Riverland red, a big impact kind of wine, was made to partner rich, red meats. This is a ripe and fully textured Shiraz with plenty of concentration and interest, chockful of blackberry, dark plum, dark baking spices, blackstrap liquorice, pan forte and chocolatey woody oak notes. With time in the glass, some baked earth, leather and savoury meaty notes – how appropriate! – open up and are fully revealed. A wine to be enjoyed soon, that is, with the next barbecue!
