A Margaret River Cabernet that turns into a slow reveal, so be prepared. This little beauty was tasted over two days and as it opened, as it fully found its groove, it presented a seamless array of flavours. Nuff said, it didn’t last a third day. With time, aromas of blueberries, black fruits, cassis – tightly formed and concentrated to start – relax and spices, regional bay leaf, anise, allspice, cinnamon, earth flow freely. The wine’s inner energy loosens and expands allowing herbals, woody spices and a light savouriness to uncoil and shine. There is a natural balance in place, tannin-oak-fruit speaking as one. This is a wonderful vintage of quality that comes to life in the glass.
