Chateau Tanunda Old Vine Heritage Release Shiraz 2021

Share

This attractive and traditionally styled Barossa Shiraz was made with fruit off old vines with 18 months maturation in a mix of French and American oak – the retro label adding a nice touch. It’s stoic and muscular as it delivers waves of blackberry, dark liquorice and chocolate scented fruits with sweet oak in strong support. There is then more elegance to the palate with good texture and fruit volume as asphalt and coal fire flavours add a savoury feel to leathery, blackberry fruits underscored by a solid base of tannins. Good to go now but will improve over the medium term.
