Evans and Tate Metricup Road Rosé 2023

Share

A Shiraz dominant Rosé with a few parcels left on lees for texture post-ferment. The remainder of the blend consists of Merlot (7%) and Tempranillo (4%), Cabernet Sauvignon (3%). Rather reserved on the nose, with a wet stone minerality framing classic strawberries and cream, laced with some deeper tones of redcurrant and wild strawberry. A little crushed black pepper ducks and weaves, too. This isn’t a shy Rosé on the palate, with plenty of spice, texture and juicy fruit on the palate, so ideal for those who “only drink red wine”. A few ice cubes wouldn’t go amiss, which is what we all want to hear when it’s Rosé weather and you’ve forgotten to pop a bottle in the fridge. Right? Drink now.
