Marchand & Burch Village Pinot Noir 2023

Share

Sweet pops of raspberry, macerated strawberry, plum skin and sweet red rose make for a pretty and lifted aromatic beginning. A good swirl of the glass unlocks more savoury notes of gentle ferrousness, earth, clove, a touch of bunch spice, dried cherry, nutmeg and a gentle smoky char beneath. Quite pretty aromatics overall but with a nice kick of savouriness in support. The palate has equal pop to it, with red rose, cherry, nutmeg, raspberry and red apple skin gliding through the mouth within a vein of fine, chalky tannins. Even and gentle through a finish of good length. Bright, pretty, and delicately structured making for a moreish Pinot Noir.
