The potential for Sangiovese here in Sunbury isn’t lost on Alex Beckett, in fact the story and potential of the grape at Marnong has only just begun. This is rustic with a bracken of herbs, thyme, dried bay and marjoram. Sassy raspberry cordial and cherries in syrup, some charry reduction and gravelly soil.
