Maxwell Wines EOCENE Shiraz 2020

This tightly wrapped, brooding McLaren Vale Shiraz offers up a dense core of powerful fruits with blackberry aromas well supported by savoury earth, iron filings and spicy complexity, as seen in many of the best wines from McLaren Vale. It’s then quite muscular in feel with fruits of the forest flavours wrapped up with mouthcoating tannins before delivering a lengthy if slightly closed finish. This needs a couple of years to open up and show all it has to offer.
