Monterra Reserve Shiraz 2021

Another in the rather exciting collection of Reserve reds, the final blend for this wine comes from a range of carefully selected vineyards in the region. Deep magenta/crimson in colour, it is immediately obvious that the wine offers that rich plushness we see in top McLaren Vale Shiraz. Notes of dark berries, woodsmoke, bay leaves, black fruits and chocolate, as well as a gentle note of French oak. The structure is impeccably seamless with very good length here supported by fine tannins, and plenty of them. Try and leave this for a year or two and then get stuck in over the next decade.
