This mighty Cabernet comes from an excellent Coonawarra season. The most striking thing about it is the way the powerful motherload of super concentrated blackcurrant fruit is delivered with such finesse and elegance. It’s had nearly 24 months in new French oak, and yet the oak is not excessive in any way. Perfumed chalky aromas on the nose are followed by a palate that defines the word elegance. This is a wine that will handle extended cellaring.
