Oakridge Willowlake Chardonnay 2024

As with the Hazeldene Chardonnay in this Vineyard Series, this wine is from the Gladysdale sub-region. Again, the winemaking sees whole bunch pressing into 500-litre French oak puncheons, natural fermentation and fourteen months maturation. Pale lemon/straw in colour, another Chardonnay with an utterly gorgeous nose. We have notes of peaches, stone fruits, a flick of citrus, pineapple and a touch of melon. This is beautifully balanced with very good use of oak evident, offering excellent integration. Seamless and seductively textured, there is impressive length and good intensity. Will be a star over the next eight to ten years.
