O’Leary Walker Polish Hill River/Armagh Shiraz 2023

Share

A difficult vintage to be sure but this sub-regional blend doesn’t miss a beat. The power and concentration we associate with Polish Hill River and Armagh Shiraz are well in place and, so too, the beauty. A harmony is noted whether it is in a perfume of black fruits, cassis, dark plum, toasted spice and liquorice, or on the fine-ness of expression as the wine winds its way across the tongue. Oak is a background feature, a seamless kind of quality, and tannins are generous but fine. A lovely wine.
