Organic Hill Founders Release McLaren Vale Shiraz 2025

As with all wines in this series, preservative free and made in accordance with organic and biodynamic certification. From McLaren Vale, this was my pick as the best wine in this collection. Near black with an opaque maroon rim, on the nose we have an array of aromas including plums, chocolate, cassis, mocha, bay leaves, cold tea, licorice and dried herbs. The wine has a generosity and approachability to it and there is a delightfully supple texture. Very long, it finishes with fine powdery tannins. Lots to like here. Drink at any time over the next fifteen years, although it is already providing some serious pleasure.
