Margaret River Tempranillo is definitely a thing – here’s the proof. Brings varietal class to the glass starting with the solid, deep dark purple hues. Boasts scents of dark plum, black cherry, herbs, earth, new leather, spice and a bramble leafiness that is quite striking. Sinewy, grainy tannins – Tempranillo is never short on tannin – are writ large, an immediate hint to the drinker that this is most definitely a food wine. It deserves nothing less than a charcuterie platter. Super dry to close with a smack of tannic dryness. Yum!
