Vintage star – Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz 2017

Bin 128 is always a very different take on the classic Penfolds style and in a serious Coonawarra vintage is often a pick from the vintage. It is aromatically understated with complex clove scented mulberry and dark cherry fruits. Dry and juicy it has seamless fruit interwoven with lots of fine grained tannins which with silky acidity provide exceptional overall balance. Not hugely concentrated but makes up for that with subtlety and superb length making for an exceptional Bin 128 vintage.
