Pepper Tree Carillion Cabernet Merlot Petit Verdot 2021

A fine Bordeaux blend here, exhibiting a maroon hue. The nose has black fruits to the fore with tobacco leaves, dried herbs and a hint of well handled oak still evident. There are also vestiges of aniseed and chocolate but a rich, earthy note is present as well. The wine is of medium length with fine balance and silky tannins. Expect it to drink well for at least the next eight to twelve years.
