Pepper Tree Stone Mountain Single Vineyard Riesling 2021

Share

Yes, the Orange region can do chardonnay standing on its head. But have you tried its Riesling? If not, you are in for a very big treat. Stone Mountain is sourced from a 800 metre high vineyard – that’s cool – and it shows in the excellent purity of fine acidity that prevails throughout this wine. The scent of citrus is all-pervading – mandarin skin, lemon, lime zest – with pretty apple blossom notes nicely entangled. Aforementioned line of filigree-fine acidity is striking, the perfect vehicle for the driving citrus beat of lemon sherbet and zest with apple and slatey chalk to finish.
