Pikes Clare Valley Traditional Riesling 2026

Share

There’s a racy, almost zingy character to this bright, high-energy Riesling. It’s quite light-bodied, but there’s tremendous fruit intensity. The fruit comes from the famed Polish Hill River area, which produces some of the finest wines in the Clare Valley. There are nice, fine citrus notes and a crunchy, pebbly, slate-like character on the nose. The palate displays a degree of tension, but with a refreshing, fine lift. A thoroughly delicious wine for drinking in the short term, but it should also be good for another 10 years.
