Pizzini La Volpe Nebbiolo 2024

Share

Juicy red cherry, blood orange, redcurrant, spiced plum, chinotto, dried rose and a glimmer of tar. There’s no mistaking the variety here, and this expression is alluring in its melding of fruit and savouriness. The palate has a youthful crunch, with the powdery Nebbiolo tannins quite firm as they wrap around raspberry, Bing cherry, redcurrant and supporting notes of dried herbs and tar. Nice length thanks to ample structure. It’s youthful, bright and vivacious, with a need for food to soak up those energetic Nebbiolo tannins. Nicely done.
