Seppelt Salinger Henty Vintage Cuvee 2015

Share

This brilliantly packaged and presented wine has been at the forefront of Aussie fizz for years. It was one of the very first to announce Australia could really do this thing called sparkling wine. This is a blend of the three classic Champagne varieties, pinot noir, chardonnay, and pinot meunier, from the Henty vineyards of Seppelt. This naturally cool climate produces a crisp acidity which is ideal for sparkling wines. This spent five years on lees before bottling last December and in that time has picked up a subtle degree of autolysis character, where yeast cells impart the beautifully complex flavours for fizz. It’s a fine style with a core of nutty stone fruit and citrus working seamlessly with a subtle brioche light toastiness. It finishes with a crisp minerality that sustains it throughout.
