Shaw + Smith M3 Chardonnay 2025

Share

One of Australia’s most beloved and ordered Chardonnay from wine bars, restaurant lists and bottle shops. Perhaps due to Wadeawitz’s ability to evolve the style whilst maintaining the torrent of Chardonnay flavour each and every vintage. This vintage has its bouquet of lemon aspen and frangipani, some white peach fuzz and yellow melon. Oak feels creamy and more focused with churned butter and icing than peanut and vanilla char. Some lingering peach candy and bee pollen and a slight bitterness of lemon skin. There are some edges and angles to what is a very taut wine filled with orchard fruit and cool climate juicy acidity. Drink now or hold for 3-4 years further. Some fat poached prawns balancing on iceberg lettuce in a martini glass for this one.
