A wine of earthy beauty, forest floor and a day of pottering around your garden, so is the link between the outdoors and this wine. There are some bunchy notes and wild herbs, a core of red morello cherries and some squashed ripe strawberries. A maple and tobacco leafiness and brown baking spices. Its tannins are sandy and acidity keeps the wine echoing on. I find this to be totally enjoyable, feet in the grass, giving the plants a soak and enjoying the last of the day’s rays. You should too. For it is excellent value and you can drink now or it will cellar further for another 3 years.
