This 2023 vintage of Vat 9 is beautifully pitched and built to last with its powerful yet controlled aromas of blackberry and mulberry with excellent purity with touches of new leather and old spice, enmeshed in a blanket of oak. Fabulous form and balance here, confident and holds its head high over a long, ethereal finish, a little meaty bite of tannins to finish sealing the deal. One for the ages.
