Vignerons Schmölzer & Brown Prêt À Blanc 2024

Share

A blend of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Sylvaner from three sites in the upper King Valley. There’s a slightly bitter sensibility to the aromas first off, with an opening of preserved lemon, subtle green almond and bitter herbs before being filled out by nashi pear, green apple skin and hay. The mix of fruit and bitterness makes for an attractive aromatic profile. The palate is lively, fresh, taut and linear but with a lovely seamless texture. Fresh fruit notes of pear, apple and lemon at the fore, with some zestiness and subtle herbs notes in support before a clean and bright finish. This is delicious summer drinking, with energy and freshness making for a bargain at $35.
