This comes from an old vineyard in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Wow there’s a lot happening here. The nose displays a mix of black and blue fruits with spices, liquorice and coffee grounds aromas. The palate is concentrated and intense. The wine gets all French oak and only 23% of this is new making a most stylish expression of Barossa shiraz but you can’t take that power away – it’s there in abundance. This will cellar for many years.
