This is a tribute to their beloved dog Hunter, who seemed to enjoy nothing more than chasing rabbits, hares and foxes, and rewarding himself with some fruit straight off the vines. The Hunter is a sticky with around 134g/L of sugar, making it sweet but not cloying. It has bright fruit and lots of body, presenting apricot, lemon, white flowers, talc and green apple, and an oiliness and unctuousness on the palate which makes it a joy to drink. I paired it with homemade apple crumble (a tremendous match, if I do say so myself) but it’s also nice to just sip it on the couch after a long day.
