Brown Brothers Patricia Chardonnay 2022

The fruit here was from Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, whole bunched pressed and barrel fermented. The wine then spent eleven months maturing in French oak, 38% new. A pale lemon hue, the nose exhibits notes of fig and stonefruit, with good oak integration. Quite an intense style with hints of riverstones, apricot kernels, crisp apples and citrus. A seamless structure, supple texture, fine acidity and good balance resulting in a wine with focus and length – serious length. This will drink beautifully for at least the next decade. A cracking Tassie Chardonnay.
