Brown Hill Perseverance Cabernet Merlot 2019

The classic Margaret River blend, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this is the most awarded wine in the Brown Hill portfolio. The team hand-harvest their best fruit for processing on the sorting table before discrete fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Then to French oak barriques, 55% new, for 18 months. The best barrels are selected for blending for this wine. Deep garnet in colour, this is refined, focused and there are notes here reminiscent of a fine Bordeaux. Florals, cedar, tobacco leaves, blackcurrants and blueberries with silky tannins and very good length. This has serious potential, a good decade plus, at the very least. Really like this.
