Chalk Hill Nero d’Avola 2024

A beautiful purple hue signals how young and vibrant this wine is. Moreish notes of blueberries, mulberries, and Morello cherries lead the way, with a slightly spirited lift. Then come the massive vanilla pods, like someone snapped a whole stick, alongside milk chocolate. It’s incredibly vibrant and lifted, with hints of macerated red flowers. It’s fun. A proper red fiesta. The kind of midweek, or even lunchtime, red you can enjoy with a bowl of pasta. Just drink it now and enjoy. There’s a moderate warmth from the alcohol that adds a welcoming hug, but it never overheats. And that’s a big plus.
