This is a GSM for those who like their wine with a touch of the wild side. Bloody red fruits, rusty nail, and a bit of a musty farm shed note. Hold your ground, the palate has a surprising succulence lining its deep and sweet fruited core. It’s supple and long limbed, reaching right through the palate with a fabulous surety of line. The acidity tickles along, lightening up things a little, while bloody fruit and black spiced skins jostle amongst inky, deep spices. Star anise, black pepper, black cardamon and furls of bonfire smoke and ashy dried herbs. Captivating with plenty of movement on the palate, this has intense concentration, yet freshness and lift and detailed, chalky-chewy tannins.
