An exceptional vintage expressed well which, after all, is all a wine drinker can ask for. It’s here in one pretty schmick old vine Shiraz brimming in aromas of chocolate, coffee, black fruits and ripe dark plums. Has that sun-kissed black fruit intensity – ripe and sunny – running across the palate, in league with some authentic Barossa Aussie bush and bay leaf, spice and vanillin oak. It’s a lovely expressive middle palate dressed in a fine line of tannin which fully allows the fruit to sing and, it might be said, allows for further bottle age. Flows warmly and long.
