A wonderful Frankland River Shiraz, showing just how impressive this region can be. And, as we have come to expect from this Estate, sensational buying. Near black with a magenta rim, this is balanced, powerful, well-structured and concentrated. Very much a serious style of Shiraz, with immaculately integrated oak, giving it a long spell in the cellar before opening will seem very wise in the years to come. The nose reveals aromas of cassis, mulberries, cold tea, spices, plums, bergamot and chocolate. A supple creamy texture, a very long finish which remains intense and balanced at all times with silky tannins. Really impressive stuff to enjoy over the next ten to fifteen years.
