Leo Buring Leonay Eden Valley Riesling 2025

Share

Just the name “Eden Valley” conjures up images of untouched beauty, so it’s no surprise that such an incredible Riesling could emanate from there. Coming from a vintage where the fruit ripened much earlier than usual, there’s balance between the acid and ripe fruit characters, with the former in abundant supply. A delicate nose of fresh asparagus, grass and peach on opening soon develops into florals, citrus and apple, which then lead to an absolutely vibrant (read: highly acidic and mineral) palate with just a touch of residual sugar, which is needed to keep that acidity in check. At AU$45, this Riesling is an absolute steal and it will continue to impress for many years to come.
