Paracombe Adelaide Hills Plateau Blanc NV

An enjoyable sparkler from the Adelaide Hills, this is made with Pinot Blanc. Even though we rarely see fizz from this variety, it is actually one of the permitted grapes in Champagne. A steely pale lemon hue, the nose reveals notes of pears, grapefruit, gentle florals, citrus and wet slate. The flavours are upfront, clean and fresh, and there is some bright acidity supporting the style. Drink over the next three to four years.
