I honestly couldn’t get enough of this wine. From the first moment I smelt it in the glass, I knew it would be a delight from beginning to end and I wasn’t wrong. Despite already being four years old, there’s a heap of luscious primary fruit and soooo much complexity: confectionery, black cherry, raspberry, black olive, aniseed, milk choc, leather. The wine develops in the glass, with the aniseed and leather characters amplifying as it breathes. The fruit is vibrant on the palate and supremely juicy, while also being rich and deep. I’ve given it a ‘+’ as I don’t think we’ve seen the best of it yet, as it has a very long life ahead of it.
